Trinidad

May 8-15, 2027
Trip #289
Cost: $1785 + airfare

In Trinidad, where vibrant culture meets deep spiritual need, our partners are planting churches and sharing the gospel in schools, streets, and prisons. Come serve with alongside them with us next summer to bring hope to children, students, and families longing to know Christ.

  • Trinidad and Tobago is a diverse Caribbean nation known for its rich culture, warm hospitality, and vibrant traditions. Trinbagonians come from African, East Indian, European, and Indigenous backgrounds, reflected in their music, food, and religious traditions.

The nation's religious diversity—including Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and African spiritual traditions—often brings spiritual darkness and nominalism. Many people blend Christian beliefs with superstition, ancestor worship, or occult practices.

People are affected homelessness, drugs and a growing materialism. There is a need for genuine discipleship, biblical teaching, and the transformative power of the Gospel to penetrate hearts and change lives.

  • The vision of our partners at Trinidad and Tobago Urban Ministries is to establish a church in every village across the island which fosters spiritual growth and community impact. It is our joy to join them in their ministries of…

    • Reaching children and youth through hosting VBS and backyard bible clubs, and visiting schools.

    • Ministering to at risk youth.

    • Loving the forgotten in orphanages, prisons and nursing homes.

    • Presenting the Gospel to those on the streets who might never have heard of the name of Jesus.

  • You will stay at the Trinidad and Tobago Urban Ministries mission base in style housing (think bunk beds, shared bathrooms, separate male and female sections). There are also plenty of meeting spaces for both small and larger teams. The facilities ensure a safe and welcoming environment, allowing us to focus on ministry and connection.

  • Our team will fly into Piarco and will be picked up from the airport by our TTUM partners. Travel arrangements and in-country transportation will be handled by your GO trip leader or a GO staff member alongside our TTUM ministry partners.

  • Meals are a mix of local island cuisine as well as more internationally familiar dishes. We do our best to help you eat like a Trini, realizing that mission trips can stretch your pallet. We do try to accommodate allergies as well.

"When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you." – Luke 10:8

  • At Go InterNational, participant safety is our top priority. Our internal team and external consultants use a multi-layered risk management approach, including monitoring global reports and collaborating with ministry partners on the ground. We enforce safety protocols, such as requiring students to be with an adult, while our hosts provide location-specific guidelines. Our team leaders have been trained in risk management principles and have both on-field and home-office support to ensure a secure experience.

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." – Psalm 46:1

  • $250 Trip Deposit – A $250 fee is required to reserve your spot, which goes toward the overall cost of the trip.

    Payment Schedule:

    • 1/3 of the trip cost is due 3 months before departure

    • 2/3 of the trip cost is due 2 months before departure

    • Final payment is due 1 month before departure

Our team will provide support and guidance throughout the fundraising and preparation process.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." – Matthew 28:19

  • We will be partnering with Pastor Ashoke Bachew at Trinidad and Tobago Urban Ministries. When Ashoke was 12 years old back in the 1960’s, a group of short-term missionaries from the United States came to his Hindu village in Trinidad and shared the truth of Jesus Christ with him. He turned away from idol worship and gave his heart to Jesus. Since that time, he has been passionate about living for Jesus and sharing Him. Trinidad and Tobago Urban Ministries (TTUM) was born from that passion and his vision of seeing a church in every village in Trinidad and Tobago.
