Ways to Give
Generosity can take many forms.
God entrusts each of us with resources, opportunities, and influence. For some, generosity means making a monthly gift. For others, it may mean giving appreciated stock, making a grant from a donor-advised fund, giving from an IRA, or including a ministry like GO in an estate plan.
However God leads you to give, we want to make the process simple.
When you give to GO InterNational, you are not simply giving to an organization. You are giving through GO to advance the mission of Christ by strengthening local leaders, mobilizing people to serve alongside them, and investing in ministries that bring lasting gospel impact.
Give in the way that makes sense for you
Not sure where to begin? You do not have to figure it out alone.
If you are considering a non-cash gift, planning a significant year-end gift, or simply wondering what options are available, we would be glad to have a conversation.
There is no pressure and no obligation.
Sometimes the best first step is simply asking:
“What are my options?”

A Note About Financial and Tax Information
Information on these pages is provided for general educational purposes and should not be considered legal, tax, or financial advice. Tax laws and individual circumstances vary. We encourage you to consult your attorney, tax professional, financial advisor, or other qualified professional when considering significant or non-cash charitable gifts.
Give through a Donor-Advised Fund
Put resources you have already set aside for generosity to work around the world.
A donor-advised fund, often called a DAF, is one of the simplest ways to organize charitable giving.
If you have a donor-advised fund through an organization such as Fidelity Charitable, National Christian Foundation, Schwab Charitable, a community foundation, or another sponsoring organization, you can recommend a grant to GO InterNational.
Your grant can help equip local Christian leaders, mobilize mission teams, strengthen churches, and invest in Kingdom projects around the world.
What is a Donor-Advised Fund?
A donor-advised fund is a charitable giving account established with a sponsoring nonprofit organization.
You contribute assets to the fund and may be eligible for a charitable deduction at the time of that contribution, subject to applicable tax rules. The sponsoring organization then has legal control of those assets, while you retain the ability to recommend qualified charitable organizations to receive grants.
That means money you have already designated for charitable purposes can continue to be used thoughtfully over time.
GO InterNational can receive grants from most major donor-advised fund providers.
How to Recommend a Grant to GO
The exact process varies by provider, but it is usually straightforward.
1. Log in to your donor-advised fund.
Visit the website or donor portal for your sponsoring organization.
2. Search for GO InterNational.
You may be asked for the following information:
Legal Name: GO InterNational, Inc.
Federal Tax ID/EIN: 61-6058541
Mailing Address: PO Box 123, Wilmore, KY 40390
3. Choose the amount of your grant.
Some DAF providers also allow you to recommend recurring grants.
4. Tell us where you would like your gift to make an impact.
You may recommend that your grant support GO’s World Mission Fund or indicate a ministry, project, or area of interest.
GO honors donor preferences consistent with our charitable mission, annual ministry plans, and responsibility to steward all gifts well.
5. Let us know your gift is coming.
DAF grants sometimes arrive with limited donor information.
A quick email to info@gointernational.org can help us identify your gift, thank you properly, and make sure we understand any ministry preference you intended to communicate.
Your Questions, Answered
-
For many families, a donor-advised fund provides a convenient way to separate the decision to set aside resources for generosity from the later decision about where those resources should go.
It can also make recordkeeping and charitable planning easier.
Most importantly, it gives you another way to put resources God has entrusted to you into Kingdom work.
-
Yes, you may recommend a ministry or project when making your grant.
If you are considering a substantial grant for a specific project, we encourage you to contact us first. We would be glad to talk with you about current needs, project budgets, and where your gift can have the greatest impact.
-
The charitable contribution generally occurs when you contribute assets to the sponsoring donor-advised fund, not when the DAF later makes a grant to GO.
Your DAF sponsoring organization handles documentation associated with your original charitable contribution.
GO will gladly acknowledge your grant and thank you for your generosity, but the DAF grant itself generally does not create an additional charitable deduction for the donor.
Please consult your tax advisor regarding your individual circumstances.

Questions?
Give Stocks & Securities
Your investments can become an investment in the Kingdom.
For some donors, giving appreciated stock or other securities can be one of the most effective ways to support ministry.
Instead of selling an appreciated investment and then donating the cash, you may be able to transfer the security directly for charitable purposes.
That can put more of the value of the asset toward ministry while potentially providing favorable tax treatment to the donor.
Why Consider Giving Appreciated Stock?
Suppose you purchased an investment years ago and its value has grown significantly.
If you sell the investment yourself, the sale may generate taxable capital gains.
When qualifying appreciated securities are given directly to a qualified charitable organization, a donor may be able to avoid recognizing some or all of that capital gain and may also qualify for a charitable deduction, subject to applicable tax rules, holding periods, income limitations, and the donor’s individual circumstances.
For many donors, that means an asset that has grown over time can become an especially powerful charitable gift.
How to Give Stock to GO
The exact process varies by provider, but it is usually straightforward.
1. Contact GO before making the transfer.
We will provide the current brokerage and transfer information needed by your financial institution.
Call 859-858-3171 or email info@gointernational.org.
2. Contact your broker or financial advisor.
Tell your advisor you would like to make a charitable gift of securities to GO InterNational.
Your brokerage firm may require a transfer authorization form or written instructions.
3. Transfer the securities directly.
Your advisor can arrange for the shares to be transferred according to the instructions provided by GO.
4. Let us know the transfer is coming.
This is important.
Securities may arrive in a brokerage account without enough information to identify the donor.
Please tell us:
· Your name
· The name of the security
· The approximate number of shares being transferred
· The ministry or project you would like your gift to support, if applicable
That allows us to identify the gift quickly and acknowledge it properly.
Your Questions, Answered
-
Depending on the circumstances and GO’s ability to receive the asset, gifts may include:
· Publicly traded stocks
· Mutual fund shares
· Exchange-traded funds
· Bonds
· Other marketable securities
Some transfers, particularly mutual funds and less common securities, can take longer to complete. We recommend contacting us before initiating the transfer.
-
If appreciated securities are sold first and the cash is then donated, the sale may create a taxable capital gain.
For that reason, donors considering a gift of appreciated securities often speak with their financial or tax advisor before selling the asset.
Depending on your circumstances, transferring the asset directly may be more advantageous.
-
Federal tax rules govern how charitable gifts of securities are valued and what documentation is required.
For publicly traded securities, valuation is generally based on fair market value determined under applicable IRS rules. Other types of property may require additional documentation or appraisal.
GO will provide an acknowledgment describing the securities received but does not determine the amount of your charitable deduction.
Please work with your tax professional to determine the value you report for tax purposes.
Turn Growth Into Gospel Impact
An investment that has increased in value can do more than strengthen your financial portfolio.
It can help train leaders, reach children, strengthen churches, provide medical care, translate biblical resources, send teams, and bring the hope of Christ to communities around the world.
If you are considering a gift of stock or other securities, we would be glad to help you begin the process.
Important Information
GO InterNational does not provide investment, legal, or tax advice. Tax treatment depends on the type of asset, how long it has been held, the donor’s tax situation, and other factors. Please consult your financial, legal, or tax advisor before completing a securities gift.
Give From Your IRA
A simple way to turn retirement assets into Kingdom impact.
If you are 70½ or older, you may be able to make a charitable gift directly from an eligible Individual Retirement Account through a Qualified Charitable Distribution, commonly called a QCD.
For many donors, a QCD is a practical way to support ministries they care about while managing taxable retirement income.
Your IRA can help equip Christian leaders, strengthen churches, care for people in need, and advance the mission of Christ around the world.
What is a Qualified Charitable Distribution?
A Qualified Charitable Distribution is a payment made directly from an eligible IRA to an eligible charitable organization.
When the requirements are met, the qualifying amount is generally excluded from the IRA owner’s taxable income.
A QCD may also count toward all or part of a donor’s Required Minimum Distribution, or RMD, if the donor is required to take one.
Unlike an ordinary charitable contribution, an amount properly excluded from income as a QCD generally is not also claimed as a charitable contribution deduction.
How to Make an IRA Gift to GO
1. Contact your IRA custodian.
Tell the custodian that you would like to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution to GO InterNational.
Your custodian may provide an online form or require written instructions.
2. Provide GO’s information.
GO InterNational, Inc.
Federal Tax ID/EIN: 61-6058541
PO Box 123
Wilmore, KY 40390
3. Make sure the distribution is made directly to GO.
To qualify as a QCD, the funds must be distributed according to IRS requirements directly from the IRA to the eligible charitable organization.
Follow the procedures provided by your IRA custodian.
4. Let GO know the gift is coming.
IRA checks and electronic distributions sometimes arrive without enough information for us to identify the donor.
Please email info@gointernational.org or call 859-858-3171 and tell us:
Your name
The financial institution sending the distribution
The approximate amount
Any ministry or project preference you would like us to know about
5. Keep your acknowledgment.
GO will provide a written acknowledgment of your charitable gift for your records.
Your IRA custodian and tax advisor can help you determine the appropriate tax reporting.
Your Questions, Answered
-
You must be at least age 70½ at the time the distribution is made.
Other rules also apply regarding the type of IRA and the way the distribution is made.
Because IRA and tax circumstances differ, we encourage you to speak with your IRA custodian or tax advisor before making the gift.
-
For tax year 2026, the annual QCD limit is $111,000 per eligible individual, subject to applicable IRS rules.
This limit is indexed and may change in future years.
If this page is being viewed after 2026, please contact your IRA custodian or tax professional for the current annual limit.
-
A QCD may be especially worth discussing with your advisor if:
· You are 70½ or older.
· You already plan to give to ministry.
· You have assets in an IRA.
· You are required to take minimum distributions.
· You would like to make a larger charitable gift without first receiving the IRA distribution as taxable income.
A QCD can be particularly meaningful for donors who have faithfully saved throughout their lives and now want some of those resources to advance God’s work.
-
You may communicate a preference for a GO ministry or project when making your gift.
For significant gifts or gifts intended for a particular project, we encourage you to contact us first. We would be glad to share current ministry opportunities and help you find a place where your generosity can make a meaningful impact.

Leave a Legacy
Let your generosity continue telling the story.
Every life leaves something behind.
For followers of Jesus, legacy is about more than what we accumulate. It is about what we invest in people, what we pass on to the next generation, and how we use what God has entrusted to us.
A gift to GO InterNational through your estate can help advance the mission of Christ beyond your lifetime.
It can help strengthen Christian leaders, send people into mission, care for vulnerable communities, and carry the gospel into places you may never personally see.
That is a legacy worth considering.
You Do Not Have to Be Wealthy to Leave a Legacy
Estate giving is sometimes associated with very large estates, but legacy gifts can come in many sizes.
A gift can be:
A percentage of an estate
A specific dollar amount
A particular asset
A portion of what remains after providing for family
A beneficiary designation on a retirement account
A beneficiary designation on a life insurance policy
Another gift arranged with your attorney or financial advisor
Even a modest percentage of an estate can become a significant investment in future ministry.
Include GO in Your Will or Trust
One of the most common ways to leave a charitable legacy is through a will or living trust.
You might choose to leave:
A Percentage
You designate a percentage of your estate to GO.
This approach allows the charitable gift to remain proportional even if the size of your estate changes.
A Specific Amount
You designate a particular dollar amount.
A Residual Gift
After gifts to family members and other obligations have been fulfilled, you leave all or a percentage of the remaining estate to GO.
A Contingent Gift
GO receives a gift if another beneficiary does not survive you or another condition in your estate plan is not met.
Your attorney can help determine which approach is most appropriate for you and your family.
Retirement Assets and Your EstateRetirement accounts can be particularly important to consider during charitable estate planning.
Different tax rules can apply when retirement assets are inherited by individuals versus charitable organizations.
Because every estate is different, we strongly encourage you to discuss retirement assets with your estate-planning and tax advisors.
A thoughtful plan may allow you to care well for family while also making a significant charitable gift.
Beneficiary DesignationsSome assets can be passed to a charitable organization through a beneficiary designation rather than through the terms of a will.
Depending on the account or policy, this may include:
IRAs and other retirement accounts
Life insurance policies
Certain brokerage accounts
Certain bank accounts
Other financial accounts that permit beneficiary designations
In many cases, changing a beneficiary designation is relatively simple and can be done by contacting the institution holding the account.
You may be able to name GO as the beneficiary of all or a percentage of an account while leaving other assets to family members and loved ones.
Talk with your estate-planning attorney, financial advisor, or account custodian about the options available to you.
Suggested Language to Discuss With Your AttorneyYour attorney should determine the appropriate legal language for your estate plan.
As a starting point for that conversation, you may wish to provide the following information:
GO InterNational, Inc.
Federal Tax ID/EIN: 61-6058541
PO Box 123
Wilmore, KY 40390
Possible general language to discuss with your attorney:
“I give [a specified amount / ___ percent of my estate / ___ percent of the residue of my estate] to GO InterNational, Inc., EIN 61-6058541, to be used for its general charitable purposes.”
Please have your attorney review and approve any language before adding it to your estate documents.
Your Questions, Answered
-
We would love to talk with you.
Because estate gifts may not be received for many years, it is important to create instructions that honor your wishes while allowing for changes in ministry opportunities over time.
For example, a particular project or location operating today may eventually be completed or no longer require funding.
Talking with GO before creating a highly specific restriction can help ensure that your future gift can still accomplish the Kingdom purpose you intended.
-
No.
You are not required to tell us that GO has been included in your estate plans.
However, if you are comfortable doing so, we would be grateful to know.
Knowing about your intentions allows us to thank you, answer questions, make sure we understand any ministry preferences, and celebrate the legacy you hope to leave.
You can also change your plans later. Informing GO of your intentions does not create an obligation unless you enter into a separate legally binding arrangement.
Your Story Can Keep Going
For more than five decades, men and women have prayed, gone, served, and given so that others could know Christ.
Many of them invested in work they would never live long enough to see completed.
That is part of the beauty of Kingdom generosity.
We plant seeds.
Others water.
God gives the growth.
A legacy gift to GO InterNational is one way your faithfulness today can continue bearing fruit for years to come.
If you would like to have a confidential conversation about legacy giving, we would be honored to talk with you.
