FAQs
You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.
About GO InterNational
Q: What does GO InterNational do?
A: GO InterNational equips and mobilizes believers to take the gospel where it hasn’t gone. We connect churches, teams, and donors with trusted local leaders around the world to plant the church where it isn’t—through discipleship, training, and sustainable partnership.
Q: Where is GO InterNational based?
A: GO InterNational is headquartered in Wilmore, Kentucky, but our impact spans five continents through long-term partnerships with indigenous leaders and ministries.
Q: How long has GO InterNational been around?
A: GO InterNational began in 1968 when founder Rev. Maurice Stevens took his first mission trip to Haiti. Over 50 years later, we’ve sent more than 1,000 teams and continue his vision of taking people “out of the pew and into the mission field.”
Q: Is GO InterNational a nonprofit organization?
A: Yes. GO InterNational is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, governed by a board of directors and accredited by ECFA and Missio Nexus for financial accountability and transparency.
Mission Trips
Q: What types of mission trips does GO InterNational offer?
A: We lead short-term mission trips for individuals, families, and churches to partner with local ministries around the world. Each trip focuses on serving existing community-led efforts in evangelism, discipleship, education, medical care, and church planting.
Q: How long are short-term mission trips?
A: Most GO InterNational trips range from 7–14 days, depending on the destination and ministry goals.
Q: Do I need prior mission experience to go on a trip?
A: No prior experience is required! Every team member participates in our Short-Term Trip Training, designed to prepare you spiritually, culturally, and practically before departure.
Q: What does “planting the church where it isn’t” mean?
A: It means joining God’s work to establish worshiping communities among people who have little or no access to the gospel. We come alongside local believers who are already building those foundations.
Q: How do I register for a mission trip?
A: Visit our [Trips Page] to see upcoming opportunities. Once you find your trip, register through our Managed Missions platform and submit your $250 deposit to reserve your spot.
Giving & Support
Q: How can I donate to GO InterNational?
A: You can give securely online at [gointernational.org/donate]. Choose to support the General Fund, a specific Project, Program, Person, Trip, or Affiliate Ministry—all part of the same mission to take the gospel further.
Q: Is my donation tax-deductible?
A: Yes. GO InterNational is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by U.S. law, and you’ll receive a donation receipt for your records.
Q: Where does my donation go?
A: Every gift fuels the mission—from training and supporting local partners to resourcing field projects and sending teams to new frontiers. You can designate your gift to a specific fund or give to where it’s needed most.
Q: Can I give monthly?
A: Absolutely. Many supporters choose to give monthly to sustain the work of GO InterNational and help plan long-term impact.
