What is a Disciple Making Movement?

A Disciple Making Movement (DMM) happens when ordinary people use simple, biblical strategies to multiply disciples and churches in their own communities. Instead of relying on tradition or outside experts, every disciple makes disciples, new groups of believers give birth to new groups, and leaders raise up new leaders. A true “movement” emerges when this multiplication continues through four generations or more.

Three people standing outside a building, smiling and giving thumbs up, with a gardening shovel and gloves. They are next to a dirt garden bed with lush green plants, under a metal roof, with a brick wall to the left and a rural landscape with trees, a pole, and a small wooden structure in the background.

Why it matters for training…

At GO InterNational, we believe training should mirror the way Jesus lived and taught. DMM emphasizes hands-on, reproducible practices that anyone can apply: prayer, intimacy with God, repentance, surrender, and active obedience. By equipping disciples to make disciples, we prepare churches and leaders who can multiply far beyond a single program or location - so that the Kingdom continues to advance to the places where it isn’t yet.
