From Fear to Fearless: Aishe’s Story
I want you to meet Aishe.
She’s a Kurdish Yazidi girl living in The Republic of Georgia. Lana’s family fled war and genocide in Kurdistan, and even though they found physical safety in Georgia, they brought all that survival trauma with them. In her culture, staying safe meant staying completely closed off to the outside world. Following Jesus wasn’t just seen as a different religion—it felt like a direct threat to who they were.
So, when Aishe’s mom decided to follow Christ, it didn’t just cause a family argument. It fractured the home. Aishe and her siblings immediately backed away and kept their distance.
But a mother’s quiet witness is a powerful thing. Over time, those walls started to crack, and things began shifting totally under the radar.
The Power of a Safe Room and a Snack
Transformation didn’t come to Aishe through some massive, hyped-up event. It started because a local leader named Rezo Feryan—who is actually a Kurdish Yazidi believer himself—opened the doors to a simple neighborhood after-school program.
There was nothing flashy about it. It was just a safe room to hang out, a snack, some homework help, and people who genuinely loved like Jesus in the middle of a normal day. Aishe’s siblings started dropping by. Eventually, Aishe did, too.
Between her mom’s living example at home and the intentional discipleship she received through the after-school program and summer camps, the Gospel went from a threat to her reality. Aishe encountered the grace of God for herself, stepped completely out of the sidelines, and gave her heart to Jesus.
To see someone step out of a fear that has chased their family for generations... it’s hard to even put into words how massive that is.
What It Actually Means to "Launch"
If you met Aishe today, you wouldn’t recognize that fearful girl.
Right now, she is on a mission trip along the Black Sea coast with 20 other young leaders. They are running two church services a day and boldly preaching the Gospel right on the streets. Think about that for a second. A young woman from a deeply traumatized, historically closed culture is standing in front of strangers, completely unashamed, sharing her hope. It is a total miracle.
A new generation of leaders is rising, and they aren't staying quiet.
Only God changes a heart like that, but He uses everyday people to open the door. Without her mother's courage, that simple after-school program, or those summer camps, Aishe’s life looks entirely different.
That is exactly why we created the Launch Fund.
We are coming up on our Fiscal Year-End on June 30, and we’re trying to raise $40,000 to keep backing these exact programs, camps, and local leaders like Rezo. We want to have the resources ready to clear the path for the next generation of kids who are still waiting for hope.
Aishe was launched into her calling. Will you help us launch the next one?

Thank you for being such a huge part of this journey with us. It really does matter.
