The Chuquibambilla Bible Translation House is fully funded! Thanks to your incredible generosity, the physical building is nearly complete.

Now, the second phase begins. We are pivoting from building the house to fueling the living ministry inside it. From here on out, your support will directly fund the local translators, materials, and monthly workshops required to give the Nomatsigenga people the complete Word of God.

THE NEED

A Church With Only Half the Bible

The Nomatsigenga church in the Pangoa Valley is growing, but they only have access to the New Testament. The Old Testament has never been translated into their language. Without Scripture they can fully understand, discipleship is limited, teaching is incomplete, and new believers struggle to grasp the whole story of God’s redemption. For this under-reached people group, the absence of God’s Word in their heart language has kept the gospel from taking deep root.

  • No Genesis or Historical Books: Pastors cannot preach the foundational stories of creation or covenant history.

  • No Psalms: Believers cannot pray or worship using the deeply emotional language of the Psalms in their native tongue.

  • An Incomplete Narrative: A growing church is left trying to understand the full identity of Christ with only half of God's Word.

THE APPROACH

Local Ownership

The strategy relies entirely on local leaders. A team of nine Wycliffe-trained Nomatsigenga translators—who are local pastors, farmers, and community leaders—are doing the work.

Each month, their rhythm follows a sustainable, collaborative model:

  • Gather: They leave their farms and travel to the translation base.

  • Translate: For three intensive weeks, they collaborate to translate text, check drafts for theological accuracy, and create oral recordings for remote, low-literacy villages.

  • Multiply: They return home to their communities, immediately bringing fresh Scripture and deeper discipleship into their local churches.

Deeply Rooted Faith

When a community receives the entire narrative of Scripture in their heart language, the impact is generational. It equips local pastors, strengthens daily discipleship, and allows families to pass the full story of God down to the next generation.

The translators are trained, the house is near completion, and the momentum is real. What they need now is consistent, sustained funding to keep the work moving forward.

  • Project Goal: $30,000 per year for three years.

  • Monthly translation workshops and core operations.

  • Travel, lodging, and food for the nine local translators.

  • Oral Scripture recording and distribution for remote villages.

  • Yearly evangelism and leadership seminars for new church workers.
