Community Health Evangelism (CHE) Training
CHE is a Christ-centered educational program that is being used by hundreds of Christian churches and organizations across the globe. CHE equips communities to identify issues and mobilize resources to achieve positive, sustainable change. Lives and communities are transformed as people come to Christ and work together to address local needs.
We are pleased that GO InterNational will now offer the initial training for CHE, TOT 1 in the Lexington area.
The Training of Trainers 1 (TOT1) provides the foundation needed to begin the process of implementing CHE in an international community:
partnering with a CHE practitioner in the field
determining an international community to begin a CHE program
training others in CHE, at home as well as abroad.
The training provides an integrated approach to ministering in communities both abroad and at home. In addition, participants will receive online access to thousands of resources such as manuals, picture books, posters and lessons on scores of topics.
Anyone interested in disciple-making and community development is encouraged to attend. If you’ve traveled with us in the past or plan to travel with us or another missions agency in the future, or if God has been stirring you to reach your community here at home, we’d love to see you there!
The training will be held Feb. 1-3 and Feb. 8-10 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington. The training will be Friday 6:30-9 pm, Saturday 8:30 am-4:30 pm and Sunday 1-4:30 pm each weekend.
Attendees need to plan to attend BOTH weekends. TOT 1 is usually a 5-day training event. This schedule allows us to do the training over 2 weekends, but you must attend both to receive your certificate. The cost is $65, includes drinks and snacks throughout the training, lunches on Saturday and all training materials.
